Part of OMRON's Image Sensing technology, expression estimation can estimate up to 5 expressions (neutral, happiness, surprise, anger and sadness) in faces in still images or movies in various conditions.
Scores are output for each expression, making complex facial expressions also recognizable.
Implementing it in various equipment can facilitate communication between people, and between people and machines.
